City Oliers outwitted KIU Rangers

City Oilers 72-66 KIU Titans
JKL Lady Dolphins 62-48 KIU Rangers.

The National Basketball League finals continued yesterday at YMCA court in game two of the best of seven series.

In Men's final, record champions City oliers outwitted KIU Rangers in a game where the Kansanga based outfits looked on course of tying the series.

Led by Said Amisi Carmelo,KIU Titans held a three-point advantage going into the fourth quarter. However City oilers dominated the last quarter to win the game by a difference of six baskets.

 Said Amisi contributed 25 points for KIU Titans while Collins Kasujja had a 12 points contribution but were not enough for a victory.

For City Oilers, Jimmy Enabu shone the brightest with 19 points while James Okello and Lual Ruak scored 11 and 14 points respectively.

The victory gives City oilers a 2-0 lead in the finals, and they are only within 2 games to complete the sweep to lift the unprecedented 9th title in a row.

Meanwhile, JKL Lady Dolphins beaten KIU Rangers in game two of women's final to level the series having lost the first game. Hope Akello had a double of 12 points and 19 rebounds while Becky Longhom scored highest with 15points and 18 rebouns for JKL.

Action will return on Wednesday night at Lugogo as teams both in Men and Women play in game 3.
